VIENNA (February 20, 2017) – Reed Exhibitions has relaunched its third-party events website at www.messecongress.at to coincide with the start of the 2017 event season. The all-new contemporary web platform from the exclusive operator of the Messe Wien Exhibitions & Congress Center features full functionality for an improved user experience.
Creating the right space for ideas
“Ideas need space” is the central idea that runs through the brochures published by Austria’s most contemporary and advanced event centre. It refers to the seemingly endless range of event and design options that the centrally-located, 70,000 square metres Messe Wien Exhibitions & Congress Center offers its customers. The aim is to ensure that this unique selling point receives the attention it deserves, particularly online. “Above all, we want to highlight the advantages that Messe Wien offers in the highly competitive global meetings and congress venue business,” explains Renate Dobler-Jerabek, Director of Third-Party Events at Reed Exhibitions. “Our aim is to provide the ideal setting for customers’ ideas and requirements to play out, and make sure they are implemented perfectly. And our website is an important part of this process. It is our calling card and shows who we are, what we have accomplished so far and what we are capable of,” she adds.

The international design and website experts at Reed Exhibitions implemented the brief perfectly, creating a highly attractive site with a contemporary aesthetic. The texts are short and punchy, while the images supply visual accents to accompany the content. The user journey has been optimised with logical navigation. The website’s responsive design ensures optimal compatibility with all end user devices – meaning that finding the right location for future events, exhibition and congresses is child’s play. Currently being fine-tuned by the team, a virtual tour will go online in a few days.
Market leader with 120 third-party events each year
Messe Wien hosts more than 100 third-party events annually and is one of the busiest venues in the whole of Europe, welcoming a total of 720,000 visitors and 6,000 exhibitors each year. It contributes EUR 270 million in gross value added as well as tax effects amounting to a further EUR 128 million for Vienna. Events held at the venue help to secure 4,500 full time jobs in the city.
